Isonoe was founded in 2004 by Justin Greenslade. All Isonoe electronics are hand-built in London and come with a 3-year guarantee. Our ISO420 mixer-preamplifier is subject to over 100 tests before it leaves the workshop and has an unmatched specification. We are constantly studying to see where the next improvement can be made, investing in people, as well as the best test equipment.

Starting with the now industry-standard audio isolation system, as well as rebuild and modification services for Bozak and UREi mixers, by 2006 Isonoe was building preamps and power supplies for artists such as Mr Scruff, James Murphy and Floating Points. By 2008 the single-ended, inductor-based equaliser was released. In dialogue with artists, an extensive R+D program began, where all resources were put back into the design of original circuitry. The company products as you see them today represent decades of R+D and experience. Collectively, Isonoe’s design team has over 100 years of experience in audio and manufacturing.

Isonoe’s founder, Justin, grew up in London on a diet of LWR,   Froggy and Mike Allen. This was a period where sound was driven by advances in electronics, blurring the lines between music and technology. By the early 80s Justin had built effects pedals and was feeding his vinyl habit renovating and selling record decks to friends at school. He built his first power amp in 1988 and started getting offers to DJ at events around this time. Although he likes to think it was his taste in music and mixing skill, being able to fix the system if it went down was probably a factor.

Throughout the 90s, with a combination of home-built and commercially available equipment, Justin worked as a programmer and engineer, with the likes of  Harvey amongst his clients. Material he produced and mixed gained attention by DJs such as Derrick May and Andrew Weatherall. More recently, his work has become collectable due to being revived the likes of Theo Parrish, Zip and Ricardo Villalobos.
